Shahmayim: sky, skies; heaven, heavens.  The great expanse above the earth that is immeasurably vast and its stars uncountable; the dwelling place of God, yet it can't hold God in.  Since God dwells in heaven, the "kingdom of heaven" is also the "kingdom of God".
